Hi Betty  :-[

Put it down to eye strain from maps or 'moving house stress'- George was b. Dumfries. David was b. England  :)

Added - Can't yet home in on them in the 1841. I see that they married 12 May  1840, Dumfries

I put my stupidity at times down to an age thing.  Mind you it has been a problem for several years.

Do you happen to have the 1841 census for them.  I thought I might get it on Free CEN but no luck.  When you mention maps I will just go and check  to see if the address still exists in Carlisle.

Sorry about asking about the 1841 census.  I didn't bring my cursor far enough down and missed the last part of your message.

What was I saying about stupidity!!
