can anyone help with a john blair & margaret cairns - married tranent 20 nov 1830 -- father of margaret was robert cairns -- need any info (B.D.M.s) on families of both as i have ran out of places to look - cant find any relations for john or mother for margaret -- thanks

Hi,

I see from the 1851 census that Margaret was born about 1803 in Tranent

Found this on the IGI

Christening 10th April 1803 tranent

Margaret Cairns

Father Robert Cairns
Mother Margaret Polwart

Hope this helps

If Margaret died after 1855 you would get both parents names off her death record
