hello  there

accordinging to the indexs
an X in birth registration number indicates registration at a later date usually  the x appears before the registration year so Henry's birth wasn't recorded till 1907

however I  did note  there was a birth recorded in
1862 for Henry WARK reg no 21841 at MCCA father Alexander mother Jane McKay
so maybe Henry himself applied to have his surname corrected to the correct spelling!

also
Ann WARK in 1870 at AMHERST reg no 12890 father Alexander mother Jane McKey

Thanks for that info Jenn - I meant to check for WARKE without the E.    I will edit the other post.

By the places of birth I would think that Alexander was a miner.

Cheers
Cando

Hello  there
so you  have her death certificate  that  states her parents names  but  not  where she was born  is that correct?  or  have you  just the information  from  the death index? and she would have then been 16 when she married?

regards Jenn

Hello  there

So  you  may  need  to  obtain  the marriage certificate if  you  want to go  back  further.  Vera  would have given  the relevant information  herslef  which can be better  than  the death certificate allthough  the deathcert  will reveal  any  children !!!

regards Jenn

ps  or  start a new thread  to  see if  other RC's  can be more help!!!
