Hallo Keera,
found the following in the 1841 Census:

Mary Hayes, b. 1799 in Middlesex, dressmaker  living with
Elllen Moore Connor, 46
William Connor, 50
Ellen Connor, 10
John Connor, 16
in Grays Inn Lane,
In: St. Andrew Holborn (Above the Bars)
Hundred: Ossulstone (Holborn Division)
Sub District: St Andrew Western

HO107/670/10
There are of course other Mary Hayes, but no Henry with any of them.

Hope this is of some help.

Dear Vivien, Thank you for this entry. Mary had lived in Grays Inn Lane before she married her first husband. As ahe only married Henry Hayes in 1`840, now I am wondering where he is as they are together in 1851. Thanks for this part of the jigsaw.
RThanks

Hi Keera,

found a Henry Hayes b. ca. 1801  living on his own in Worldend Place, St. Lukes - Chelsea South Division.  Chelsea, Ossulstone (Kensington Division).

Means of work: Independent and born in county (Middlesex).

HO107, 688, 9

Not sure if this is him, but looks like a likely candidate.

Hello Vivian, Can you please help me again. I have a further fix on Mary Hayes or her husband Henry William Hayes. Could you please see if they are in Wilderness Row Clerkenwell.
Thank you Keera

Hallo Keera,

I have had a look at the 1841 census again.  Cannot find a Mary Hayes and Henry William Hayes -

only a Mary (40) and William Hayes (50), (both born in Middlesex) in
Drapers Place No. 13, Marylebone, St. Pancras
Civil Parish, St. Pancras
Hundred, Ossulstone (Holburn Division)
Sub-Registration, Tottenham

Have had a look at a map for London:  Grays Inn Lane is probably Grays Inn Road now, and is not far from Clerkenwell - cannot find Wilderness Row at the moment.

Will look at older maps - if I can find them.

Do you have a birth date and place for Henry William Hayes?

Hi Keera,

if you g****e Wilderness Row, you would come up with various  information.
I cannot find it at the moment, but it might give you  a bit of information as to where your ancestors lived.

Will search around!
