Slamannan - census lookup

I would be grateful for any census information on the following family:

Susanna Reilly Wood born 1826 at Slamannan daughter of William Wood and Mary Main.

Susanna married John Robertson in 1847 at Slamannan and they had at least 4 children born at Slamannan:

Mary Main Robertson b1847
Margaret Hastie Robertson b1850
Susanna Robertson b1853
Jessie Robertson b1855

Susanna Reilly Wood died in 1867 at Slamannan, so what I am trying to find out is whether she had any other children and also what happened to the children.

So, it looks as if dau. Susanna had died by 1861 and no further children were born.   I couldn't find Mary and Margaret in 1871 so both could have well married by then.

Hi Andrew,

I found the folllowing in the pre-1855 (East Stirlingshire) MI book for Slamannan Churchyard. I don't know whether the stones are still there or legible.

(Stone is described as an obelisk)

William Wood died at Glen (dilrigg) 21.8.1842 aged 54
His wife Mary Main died 28.5 185(1 or 7)
Stone erected by friends in Slamannan & Falkirk

According to the book, there is another stone next to this one and the description/inscription is as follows:

(Flat Stone under bush)

William Wood of Townhead & Mosscastle . . . . gds . . .
. . . . James Wood . . . . Susanna Alison . . . . . James . . . . son of James & Susanna Weir

Any ideas who Mary Main's parents were? I descend from James Main and Mary Mitchell who lived in Slamannan. His sons were James, who farmed at Balmitchell, and John (my ancestor) who farmed at Easter Glen. John had a daughter, Mary, b. 1804.

I have them as Robert Main and Janet Russell who were married on 1 Apr 1792 at New Monkland.

hi jimmain sorry havent been in touch as i am just learning computer my family line comes from james main who's father died at the heights i have some old wills one of James main who died at crinkle15.04.1866 the other will is of James main who died at the heights 03.01.1858 his will covers another will of thomas main who died i think about Feb 1834 he was a surgeon in flakier thats the one i am trying to find out about i would like to get in touch but don't know how

My g-g-grandmother was Mary Main Robertson.  She married William Gray.  I think they lived in New Stevenston.  He was a spirit merchant.  Their son, John, was my grandmother's father.
