Callington-- Marriage--HALLETT
« on: Saturday 22 September 07 21:48 BST (UK) »
I would appreciate look-ups for any Hallett marriages, especially  between 1780 and 1820. Jane Hallett was born in Callington in 1804.
Her brother or cousin Samuel was born there in 1794. Both moved to Pembrokeshire. I know nothing of their parents and can use any clues offered. Thanks very much. :)

Have you had contact with the Callington OPC
http://www.cornwall-opc.org/Par_new/a_d/callington.php in case she has the records awaiting transcription

Also have you looked at any of the HALLETT wills for the 1700's early 1800's that may have some family clues, there are several listed for other areas

Good luck  ;D

Thank you very, very much. That is very likely the marriage I am looking for, and even if it turns out not to be, will prove useful in the search. I'm very pleased to see this. :D

It appears that Elizabeth Bate may be daughter of Digory Bate and Christian Dingle of Linkinhorne. Her sister or close relative Joan Bate married William Cornish in 1797 in Callington, Cornwall. One of the Hallett brothers to Elizabeth Hallett, daughter of Elizabeth Bate and Thomas Hallett is Thomas Hallett, who lived in Quethiock and married Mary Ann Jory there in 1824. There were many children. Still looking for parents for Thomas Hallett Senior. :)
