I think the Mansons on the 1881 in Edinburgh are related to my grt grt grandad Traill Manson (b Olrig 10/09/1841) his sister was Sinclair and married a Miller and moved to Edinburgh. Traill was one of 10 children he moved to Manchester after the death of his mother - trying to trace what became of the other siblings and not sure how Jemima fits into this.

This might be her on the I881:

Castlehill Bothy, Olrig
District 39 ED 6 Page 50

Jemima Manson, 21, farm servant, b. Olrig

There is also an interesting family on the 1881 in Edinburgh. Maybe some connection:

3 North St James Street, 2nd floor. Edinburgh, St Cuthberts

District 685/2 ED 58 Page 6

James Miller, 60, carter, b. Orig
Sinclair Manson, wif, 55, b. Olrig
Alexander Miller,34, mason,b. Olrig
Jemima Miller, 27, dressmaker, b. Olrig
Annie Clyne, visitor, 27, laundreymaid, b. Olrig
