Glad this has been resurrected (spelling?) June, did you ever find what you wanted about the food trade?

Unfortunately no - I cant find anything about grandfather and his connection to 'Chef"brand foods. Ive done extensive searching and almost 'Googled out" so to speak.I keep hoping someone will  come up with a  suggestion as to what I should do next.My fingers are crossed

i remember CHEF SQ SHAPED SOUPS ! SHOW HOW A GOOD SOUP SHOULD BE , in the late 70s .
                       But can't remember the 50s far to young 
                         

I dont remember the soup - just the sauce and pickles.
