hi berni, gonna ask a silly question here,do you have your fathers
birthcert' or have you seen it at some stage?I ask because  your dad
was born 1919 and if his father served in ww1  he may have still been
a soldier when your dad was born and  it would be down as his occupation
on the birthcert'. this is how we discovered one of my grandfathers
served in ww1,his marriage cert' also listed him as a soldier.
you may have checked this already but it was a long time before I even
thought of getting my dads cert' because I thought I knew everything that would be on it.

Hi Berni,
I wonder if your grandparents got married in Arvagh, My Mother said that they had 13 children cos she used to help Mrs O'Shea cook the dinner for the children.

Just a thought.
