« on: Thursday 18 October 07 22:41 BST (UK) »
GDAY:)
Looking for a marriage of a John CLENDINNEN on 4 march 1802, to a MARY CHARLOTTE we think ELLIS was her surname

He was a wesleyan minister and travelled throughout Ireland with his Wife

On an obit for him in a Wesleyan Magazine it only states his Marriage Date and her first names but no surname

in 1802 they were in Manorhamilton , but we looking for her surname so we can be sure we have right one
Any help would be much appreciated
Many Thanks
Regards
Cathy:)

Hello Cathy,  Manorhamilton is in the North of Co, Leitrim. I am assuming John was a Methodist Minister. The Glen Centre is an Arts Centre established in 1999 in the former Methodist Church in Manorhamilton.
Because of all the travelling John did it will be very hard to pin point him and his wife.
You say they were in Leitrim in 1802.but the big question is what Co, were they born in. ???
            Lep.

GDAY Lep:)
Thanks for your Reply
JOHN CLENDINNEN was born 1770 in Co Down, have yet to locate his Birth tho, but in an obit and census records said he was from Co Down,,
His parents were presbyterian, so im thinking may have originally come from Scotland
His Wife Mary Charlotte ELLIS(We Think) was born in 1779 in Co Wexford, No birthdat  or parents for her either as yet
And being a Wesleyan Minister he was stationed all Over Ireland
The Marriage date i had was from an obit of him , but didnt state where he was married, but was in manorhamilton at that time
Regards
