Hi

Just wondering if anyone can help or point me in the right direction.
I am stuck on John phillips he was born around 1747 and married in presteigne 7/3/1764 Elizabeth Star born at yarpole 1737 .
I reall would like to know where he was born and who his mother and father was,  is there anyway ?
Phillips, Higginson, Fryer, Morris, Newman, Dallow,

Have you checked the parish records for the marriage of John Phillips?  Although the information in the records was very limited at the time it is possible that the father of John Phillips was noted. Often if a person getting married was from outside of the parish that would be noted on the parish records. If you contact the National Library of Wales they may do a look up for you as you have an exact date for the marriage.
