What's the British equivalent of our White Pages?
« on: Thursday 01 November 07 01:40 GMT (UK) »
Dear Rootschatters,

My Dad is in the need of a wee help with finding two certain sons of a longtime dear family friend whose telephone number seems not working at all at this time.

We would like to find the sons so we can enquire after their parent's well-being.

So, I am trying to figure what's the British equivalent of our White Pages so we can look up on them on the Internet. I know BT and other telephone companies but we are not sure....

Can one of you help us?? It would be very gratefully received.

Thanks,

Tees

The BT Residential Pages are at:
http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/index.publisha

Hope this helps.
Tony
I am researching the following families:
Hurst / Payne - Leicestershire / Warwickshire / Worcestershire
Toon(e) - Leicestershire
Batchelor / Foster - Warwickshire / Northamptonshire
Hardy - Dorset

My web site has the family tree showing. I am researching primarily the Payne, Hurst, Foster and Batchelor lines in the Midlands.

You could try this site too:

Thanks, Tony & Geniecolgan!

I think I managed to find one of two sons.

I know one works at the BBC Radio 4---shame, there is no direct number we could ring to ask for him. I left two E-mails on their website.

Found a positive identification on a son but one must have credits to look it up on 192.com!

You have my gratitude. We'll try two telephone numbers--one of them may be the one we are after!

Gratefully yours,

Tees
