James Murray born sligo
« on: Tuesday 28 December 04 13:46 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone find birth or information on James Murray born in Sligo 1837. Fathers name was Daniel.

James was later called James Lind Murray and married Rebecca Amy Abry in England 1859. He was a surveyer and then a photographer. Thank you.

Hi tidgie

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

James Murray is my wife's 2nd great grandfather. I have just started looking at the Abry family and the Bottoms (Rebecca's maiden name). I have done virtually nothing on the Murray side- have you made any progress? Where exactly did the Murray / Abry wedding take place? How are you connected to the family?

Hello Sylv, I hope you have as much enjoyment as i have doing your "tree"
My Murrays were in the 1800s. James born 1837 Sligo, his father Daniel about 1800. James became a photographer in Birmingham. I want to find any Lind connection.  regards
