Ann was known as Matilda she was b. 1821c Warbleton
she had siblings Selina b.1826 Warbleton (m. Charles Howell) & Samuel b.1830

Thomas & Ann had the following children (all warbleton):

i realise the marriage cert will give me the fathers names but lack of funds at the moments hinders this.

was hoping someone could find their bapt. (and subsequent siblings of etc. and maybe parents bapt. also) and pushing it i know their marriage in the parish records

please please wioth cherries on top  ;D

Hi toni

Have you tried www.familyhistoryonline.co.uk  Sussex baptisms usually well covered on that site

Best wishes

Kerry :)

Toni, I found these three on familyhistoryonline.  I couldn't check any further as I ran out of credit.

01/02/1807  Thomas MITCHELL Father's Name William MITCHELL Mother's Name Elizabeth MITCHELL  Hellingly St Peter & St Paul

19/04/1807  Thomas MITCHELL Father's Name Thomas MITCHELL Mother's Name Mary MITCHELL  Parish Cuckfield Holy Trinity

14/07/1811 Thomas MITCHELL  Father's Name John MITCHELL Mother's Name Mary MITCHELL  Parish Chailey St Peter

This is the only marriage found on the SMI in Warbleton between 1780-1810 for Mitchell.

Warbleton, East Sussex,   25 May 1795:
 Alexander Taylor MITCHEL
 Elizabeth EASTWOOD, botp (B)

With a name like Mitchell I think sooner or later you're going to have to get that marriage certificate  :(

I was going to look myself but I've spent far too much money on familyhistory already this last few weeks and Christmas is coming  ::)

thanks for looking,

how would i be certain that one of the Mitchells on familyhistoryonline is mine? (without the marriage cert.?)

i can be a bit more certain with Ann Matilda as i can also look for her siblings bapt. and cross check the parents

what is / was the local church at Warbleton?

Hi toni

The parish church at Warbleton is the Church of St Mary the Virgin.  There is also the Heathfield Independent Chapel which is literally just up the road and according to the Sussex OPC http://www.sussex-opc.org/ a Mount Hermon Strict Baptist Chapel.

It might be worth contacting the OPC for Warbleton, I've just had contact with him and found him extremely helpful and he has loads of parish records.
