Robert Sydenham

Can anyone help me with this?

Robert Sydenham (1853) married Eliza Hobbs at Brompton Regis 19 July 1877.

1881 census living at Rock Cottage, Brompton Regis with Eliza and Florence Jane.

1891 census Robert missing but Eliza has five children
Florence Jane, Maud Mary, Flossie Janet, Robert Henry, Blanche Edith.
Living in Brompton Regis living near James Goss.

1901 census visiting Brompton Regis, Robert still missing, but Eliza has two more children John 1893 and Dora Ann 1896.  Census states Eliza as married but on 27th May 1901 Eliza marries James Goss.  Status on certificate as widow.

I only want to tidy up the records so to speak.  I have searched deaths from 1895 to 1901 no sign of Robert.
