a grave in blackburn
« on: Monday 12 November 07 22:39 GMT (UK) »
i have the death of my husbands grandfather whom he never met.

we would very much like to visit his grave if there is one.  His death is registered in Blackburn 1996 ( Barnoldwick was where he was born).

would anyone be able to tell me where i could possibly find out where his grave is.

any help greatly appreciated

Have you tried Blackburn Council or Blackburn Library
there is a telephone number (council department) that
will undertake a search if you have grave number or
name and burial date, unsure of the telephone number
and I could not post it on here.

Just seen this thread. Chances are if he was buried in 1996 he would have been buried at Pleasington Cemetery Blackburn. Not many are buried at the old cemetery these days,it's just a wild field now.
