An article in the Coshocton Tribune - 15th February 1973 - a few snippets from it.

Mrs Flora Green Scott, 80 of 162 Park Avenue. First married in 1918 to Roger W McGiffin who died in 1933. She married a second time in 1936 to Herbert A Scott who died in 1943. Her various memberships included the first Baptist Church, Volunteer Gleaners District No 2, Missionary Circle, served as Chairman of the flower committee of the Church for many years, Coshocton Garden Club, Womens clubs of the YWCA. Surviving was 1 son Robert W McGiffin (now deceased) of Tacoma. Washington. Also mentions step-son and step-daughters, brother, sisters, 2 grandchildren and sevearl step-grandchildren.

It sounds as though this little mining family, originating in Gloucestershire, became pillars of their community.

Is there by any chance a death for an older sister Elva GREEN some time between 1910 and 1920?  Strange that Leola takes her middle name, if both survived?!
