"Brooklyn Newspaper"

I would like to obtain a copy of a newspaper printed on the day of my father-in- laws birth October 1926. Born in Brooklyn and living in the UK since 4 years of age, he is very proud of his US connections, and still retains his passport. We felt this would be a suitable and pleasing Christmas present, but have got lost in trying to google. Any suggestions of websites I could try please. All help or suggestions most welcome. Hi AM  - what a nice idea!  There is a newspaper called the Brooklyn Eagle

It has archives - some of which are searchable online - and goes back quite a long way - hope it's of some use

The New YOrk times is also online

1) Its online itself- dont have the link to hand, but many article have to be purchased

2) If you are with a library in the US, it will probably be accessible with Heritage quest

Or you could post your query and someone might help you
