Aw Annie ... What a fitting end to this story ...  What a journey it was too . You and Michel  were so instrumental in driving this story forward and galvanising the efforts of so many people to find our Robert . Thanks

What can I say? an incredible story. I found it so moving to read through these threads and watch this story grow. A lovely tribute to Robert.

You should all be very proud of what you have achieved, it is a wonderful thing that you have all done. Bravo.

Robert's story has been added to the Liverpool Remembered website.

We feel proud and honoured to have him included there.

Thank you all

  To Ant & Ged.....

Many thanks for adding our Robert to the site. We all owe so much to his generation and that debt should never be forgotten.

91 years since the guns fell silent but I sometimes wonder have we really made progress.............. this is still a sad time for many.

  God bless

Brought tears to my eyes reading the tribute to Robert in the Liverpool Remembered site.  Thank you Annie for sending Robert's story.

Maybe one of these days we will all get to meet around Robert's grave.

No thank you.

All we had to do was add him to the site. Without the wonderful efforts of so many here then there would be no story to tell.

We are proud and Honoured to have Robert on the site.

Here again is the link to the website containing the family history data that was collected by Rootschatters in the search for relatives of Robert Stead in 2007/8.

Some of the data is hidden but if you would like a copy of the gedcom file just send me a PM.
