Hutchinson "senior" - but where is "Junior"
« on: Saturday 01 December 07 19:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have been hunting a Thomas Hutchinson for months who would be born around 1700. I have eliminated many "possibles" but one remains missing....

In Rotherfield is recorded the death of Thomas Hutchinson "senior"

Rotherfield   St.Denys
   burial record
HUTCHINSON   Thomas   28   Apr   1731   senior

He was married to Elizabeth Latter who inherited a pub called Salters. Thomas' will leaves items to nephews but no mention of a son - so where is Junior! - logically dead but no burials found save that of a son of William in the nearby village of Uckfield were there were strong family connections

Uckfield   Holy Cross
   burial record
HUTCHINSON   THOMAS   17   Jul   1702   SON OF WILLIAM

Any ideas anyone, clues, disowned?, gone to war? - am I putting too much into senior/junior. There was a Richard Hutchinson senior and junior recorded so I believe there must have been a Thomas.

Any help gratefully received! Thanks as losing hair fast
