I am new to this,so here goes.

I am looking for the name  simon gulliford in the coleford area,somerset.

In the 1841 and 1851 census

Coleford isnt figuring in half-dozen chaps of that name .... as Tati says, what else do you have on him ?

All i know is that he was married to winifred and was a coalminer, not much to go on really. ???

Is he your direct line? In which case you may know the names/rough ages of children he might have had?  :)

I can't see any Simon/Winifred couple  :-\

There is a Simon but married to Elizabeth

HO107/1939 F504 p15

Camerton Somerset

Simon Gulliford  Head M 29  Coal Miner     b Paulton Somerset
Elizabeth  "        Wife M 26                        b Kimersdon   "
Sarah Robins mother in law  Pauper     b Frome

Coleford is in the parish of Kimersdon and Paulton is 5 miles from Coleford.

As Tati said difficult without some point of reference

Simon Gulliford with a possible Elizabeth Robbins Dec 1844 Bath 11 3
