Eleanor Pierce - Bodfari - 1818

I'm trying to find the names of the parents of Eleanor

Pierce born in  Bodfari, Flintshire. I have her DOB as

approximately 1818.

would they be in the local churchyard?
i live quite close by,and if you think that mght be the case,i could have a little scout round the church yard,although some of the older gravestones in there are quite impossible to search as they are very over grown.best wishes julie

I don't know if the parents lived or died in Bodfari.

In the 1871 census for Everton, Lancashire, Eleanor is listed as being born in Bodfari, age 54. (DOB 1817?)

She died in 1874.

One of her grandson's was named Humphrey, on my side of the lineage I cant find any link to a Humphrey.  I don't know if this would be a clue, possibly her fathers name? 

To my knowledge she had one daughter, Anne Catherine, and a son James.

Thanks for the offer, when the weather picks up and you feel up to browsing the gravestones maybe you could see if there is a Pierce name listed. I don't know how common this name would be in that time frame.

Like I said earlier a name like Humphrey or James might be a clue.

no probs,there is a nice pub nearby,that we visit in summer,but i always have a wander round the churchyard first,as i said it is in a beautiful position,with wonderful views of the welsh hills.julie

hello yozzer,we soke some time ago re above,i have now some parish records,and although i can find no trace of eleanor.i have found;
1806 bap sarah/pa.robert and ann
1804 bap thomas/pa.robert and ann
1809 bap thomas/pa.robert and ann
1768 mar thomas pierce /ellinor jones
1809 bap elizabeth jones(pierce)/pa.thomas pierce and elizabeth jones
1794 mar elizabeth pierce/william evans.witness jane pierce
hoping some of these names will mean something to you.julie

Thanks for remembering my query.

I haven't done any research into the Pierce early years so I will definitely keep this information. I'm sure there will be some connection even if it's not the same family.
