Royal Visit
« on: Wednesday 26 December 07 19:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi
In 1940 the King and Queen inspected troops at Lancaster Barracks, the young Princesses accompanied them. My Dad was stationed there at the time and I am trying to find any reports/photos related to this visit.
Any help much appreciated.

Probably of no interest, but in the 1960s the Bowerham Barracks were taken over by St Martin's College, which is now part of the University of Cumbria (despite being in Lancashire!).
