Culcheth Hall Newton Heath. M/cr1929 COMPLETED

Could anyone help please. I am looking for the location and info on a place of death of my Grt Grandmother. Registered in Manchester North, in Newton Heath what looks to be called Culcheth Hall. She died suffering from Senility it states on death Cert. Curious as to the place. A home possibly?
Any help appreciated.

I just googled for Culcheth Hall and it came up as a Home belonging to the family of Lord Byron olong side the River medlock in newton Heath. I am sure I will find other links.

It's a while later but I don't know if it could be the same place.  By Kelly's 1954 I have, Little Sisters of the Poor, Home for the Aged, (Sister Stanislas - Superviser, Rev Alfd Maxwell - Chaplain), Culcheth Lane, NH.

Maybe there was another one, or maybe they took over Culcheth Hall.

Wow that sounds good as my Aunt who was getting on a bit was put in a place run by the Sisters of the Poor. Thought it was Blackley. I was going to do that at some point. Some connection here I am sure. I asked my Dad was she a Nun. He said no that she wanted to marry someone and they didn't want her too and put her in there. I thought at the time of asking "I wonder if she had a baby?" bottled out though. As they did that kind of thing. Apparantly my Aunt fell for a Polish soldier. How awful for her.   They were such hypocrites. My aunt in question was my grans illigitemate daughter!!!! The woman I have in my query grt gran had a one as well. She was brought up in Scotland by her grandparents. I found  this out on GenesReunited.  What strange webs they weaved. I guess they didn't think it would ever come out!!
Thanks so much for that. They were very "devout" Catholics. My oh my!

I think that Emms has found the right place. in 1929 it was a Home for the Aged run by the Sisters.
