Hi Rowdy

Firstly, BUCKLEY is known to be a travelling name showmen and Gypsies.

No doubt you will find mention of BUCKLEYs on the following sites which you might find interesting:

I have found a James BUCKLEY musician in the 1881 census age 24 - listed as single - b.Scotland.  He is with a large group of showpeople (in caravans) at Grantham Lincs and listed as the nephew of a John & Ann MANDERS

RG11/3231 folio 24 page 21

Might he be worth thinking about being as he is the same age as Betsy?  I assume that you can find no marriage for James BUCKLEY to Betsy?

He may, or may not, be the James BUCKLEY and family who appear to be in the 1891 census at Wrexham.  This James BUCKLEY has a shooting saloon and is aged 30 born Scotland with wife Ellen 29 b.Manchester, children Jane 6 b.Burton on Trent, Nella 4 b.Rochdale, Nancy 2 b.Openshaw Lancs.  Again, stopping with other showmen:

No doubt there are other James BUCKLEY travellers too but I just picked up on this one.

Best wishes
