tracing my family, Williams
« on: Thursday 03 January 08 17:47 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information regarding my dads family, my dads name is Gordon Williams he was born on the 23rd of May 1929 in Glasgow.  His dad is from County Wicklow whose name is William Williams he moved over to Glasgow where he met my dads mum Martha Mackay, i dont have anymore information on their dates of births or where abouts in Wicklow my grandad came from.  I do know that they had 5 children, 4 of which were male and they had 1 female.  I dont know when my grandad moved over to scotland either but my grandad died  when my dad was about 14 / 16

Names of living people shouldn't be posted here. Your grandfather's Scottish death certificate should have information which will help. See Scotland's People website for what certificates are available, the information they contain and how to order them.

That's okay then but wasn't sure from your first post. Have you tried looking in Scottish records?
