I found 1922 Honours List ... but I believe there is a mistake ... if you click on Alexander Wallace ... it takes you to an American ... ! ( my opinion is - that's wrong !! ) but I can't find him in the Gazette .... ( though I'm not the sharpest knife in the box when it comes to the Gazette ... but I usually find something !!)

The Gazette entry is on page 4321 top right (3 June 1922)

The Indian Army List for 1 January 1912 records the following dates:

First Commission 11/9/1876
CB  26/6/1908
Promotion to Major General 3/5/1911

In 1912 he was CO of the Jubbulpore Brigade

I found 2 Alexanders on Fibis ..... I wondered if one was a child ... and one was the father ... what do you think ??

Both those burials would be too early for the General's father, Annie...and Madras is probably too far south ....
