Thanks Isabel, I would like to keep in touch. I note your Sylvester named his eldest child "Thomas" - my grandfather and his father did the same! My guess is your Sylvester's father was named "Thomas", too.

Not sure if this is recent but the Eugene Egan who emigrated to New Zealand is my gggg grandfather's great nephew. My ggg grandfather was Eugene Egan (he died right here in Australia) so your Eugene Egan is via My Eugene's father's brother's line - John Egan.
