Drumclune?
« on: Tuesday 08 January 08 10:15 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,

Can anyone tell me anything about a hamlet or village called Drumclune in Kirriemuir? I believe my great great grandfather rented a farm there in the 1860s.

I've managed to find it on the map I think but I just wondered if there was any other information out there - such as who owned it, whether it's still there and so on.

Thanks!

The website Get-a-Map shows Drumclune (Post code DD8 4LT) which looks to be a farm and not a village.

Thank you Isles  :) I'll go check the HER and see if it's mentioned at all. At least  know where it is now!

I know that a relation of mine, William Wylie, rented the farm of Drumclune in 1900, and through census research did in fact live on Drumclune around about the 1860s?
