« on: Thursday 10 January 08 00:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Does anyone know of any survivors of H.M.S. Laforey which sank in 1944? I think I have a photo of a rellie that served on it and am trying to see if anyone recognises them.

Thanks

My great uncle David George Allen served on HMS Laforey but sadly was not a survivor.  I also have some pics of him and others serving on the ship.  I may be able to identify him from your pics

Petty Officer Ronald Sired was a survivor of the sinking and he published a book in 1957 in which he describes life on board and the sinking.
