Annual Sub to Ancestry - circa £60 .... FreeBMD - as it says ....... Certs £7.00 .... a question or four on here - priceless !

 :)

PS. Yes, you are on the right track  :)

DoBs for Annie's children - and Grandfathers forenames ?

thanks for the info - i will have a look on ancestry

grandads name (Annie's husband) Charles kenneth Rowlands -thats all the info i have on poor old bampie !!

they had 2 children (as far as i am aware)  27/7/1937 - cardiff central (my dad) also 1 other , my aunt, who i have no details of -

its exciting stuff isnt it? , also a bit emotional too, as you tend to think about family you have lost.

Toni - I'm not getting that result from FreeBMD - mine was from the full Index, and it didnt have any Newport M births for an Annie with mothers maiden Harsh - do you perhaps mean Marsh ?   ???

If NEWPORT is deffo right then this is the correct one of course, just not showing a middle name  !

i looked on the FullBMD , on familyrelatives, it def. says what i posted however on looking at the image mmn. looks like Marsh

Reed / Marsh combo birngs up more children also, (Q41911 - 1920) but only Annie in NewportM

doing the Reed/Marsh combo on marriages also birngs up several possibilites but again only the one in NewportM

REED John M & Mary E Marsh   Newport M.11a   579   Q4   1915
Holman & Vinton- Cornwall, Wojciechowskyj & Hussak- Bukowiec & Zahutyn, Bentley & Richards- Leicester, Taylor-Kent/Sussex  Punnett-Sussex,  Bear/e- Monkleigh Gazey-Warwicks

I would still have a chat to your elderly relatives and make notes!
I think that there is probably a thread on here which gives advice on the sort of questions to ask.
Also they may have photos etc which could be interesting to you
