Pinkham Family. Arrived Quebec 1903
« on: Tuesday 15 January 08 13:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi Every One.........

"My" Pinkham family sailed from Liverpool, en route for Quebec , on September 3rd 1903. The ship was called Canada, of the Dominion line

Mary Ann Pinkham, age 29
Harriet Pinkham age 5
Henry Drummond Pinkham age 2

All were born Liverpool, Lancashire

No sign of dad, who was Edwin Drummond Pinkham, age about 43, an American

I am trying to establish that this was my grandmother's sister, ansd the only one of twelve sibling's I have been unable to trace........The family name was Hughes, and with a christian name of Mary ! This has been quite a task ..........

Any info most gratefully received

Kind regards

JeannieR

In the 1930 US Census in Grafton, Mass. there is a Henry D. Pinkham born 1900 in England who is working at a hospital.  He states his father was born in Maine, USA and his mother was born in England.

Thankyou Karen.......

I am pretty certain now, that this is my missing sibling.

Isabel was my great grandmothers name, and all her 12 children seem to have one daughter with that name . My mother , and indeed my grand daughter, have carried it on.......

I think I can safely send for the marriage certificate now........

Thank you once again

Harriet's middle name is Felicia, if that turns out to be a family name....

This felow says Edwin was previously married...?

Thank You all

Yes Edwin could have been married before. He was so much older than Mary Ann.
He was a sea farer, so it would be possible for him to have been to Australia and had a family there.......

The couple married in West Derby, went to Canada in 1903 with two children, and had further children.......

Felicia, was the name of Henry Drummond Pinkhams mother.

Janice, thankyou for those websites I will check them out now.

Just hoping the marriage certificate is the correct one !!

Many Thanks again to you all

Jeannie
