Could have siblings, so far have been unable to find his birth/ bap, he marr Isabella Metcalfe in 1816 at Well, moved to Bradford circa 1826

Many thanks, have looked at the entry you gave me, I don't think it is mine, as that John is unmarried and it is too far away. My John marr Isabell Metcalfe in 1816 in Well, and moved to Bradford circa 1826, he died there in 1872.

Yes that Isabella was John Dobby's wife, he died in 1872 age 81, have both certs, will check this census, if he was away from home they might not have known his correct age.
