Joseph Nixon was my Grandfather, He retired to Sidley, Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex. Married to Elizabeth Leonard of Roscrea. They had 5 daughters, Amelia (Amy) Florence, Margaret Bertha, Elizabeth Jane, Evelyn Dorothy (My Mum) and Patricia Ena.
I would love to find out more about the Nixon's & Leonard's,

Firstly, see reply #11 for the 1901 and 1911 censuses for your family ancestors.

You probably have this, but for others here's the marriage record for your grandparents.
Married in Ballyclough CoI, Castlemagner parish, Co Cork. Looks like Thomas, his brother was one of the witnesses. Elizabeth from Waterloo, Mallow.
