MARYWOOD????
« on: Friday 07 January 05 11:19 GMT (UK) »
Hi an ancestor, Selina Bradley, father Thomas, gives her birthplace as Marywood Worcestor on the 1881 census. Her age is given as 34. Does anyone know where this place is, the closest i came to it is Menith wood, could this be it? Could someone please look in 1851 or any other census for her, I guess she would have been born around 1847?1848.
 Thanks regards Mike :)

I have an ancestor from Ladywood, Worc. Could it be that?? I believe its part of Birmingham, on the border and so is in the Worc census, not Birmingham. (so I've been told anyway)

Hi Mike,

Unable to find Marywood in Birmingham or Worcester, sorry.  The only reference I can find for Selina Bradley, father Thomas is on IGI, and lists a christening on 16 aug 1846 at Lindridge, Worcester.  The mother is listed as Elizabeth. Hope this helps

Hi everyone I have since been told that Selina is listed as being born at Menywood Worcestor, on the 1901 census. Does this ring a bell? ??? ??? ???

Hi Mike,

Never heard of Menywood, and not in my gb atlas either.  I will recheck the census, but it will take time.  Watch this space.  I will notify you if I find anything
