My Scouller Connection Needs Help

Hi,

I have been trying to find all I can about my Scottish Roots, Basically my Grandmothers name was Susan Scouller Bell and she was from Troon Ayrshire.  I have managed to trace back her details and I have come across what I believe to be the Scouller connection.  I have found a marriage between Thomas Cowan and Janet Scouller.  I wanted to try and find out more about this and so I wondered if there is anyone who has these people in their tree or can provide me with some more information on them such as marriage dates, other kin etc.

You haven't provided any dates for the data you did find so I wasn't sure if this would be a search in statutory records or OPR's.  However...if you spend a few credits and search on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk using the maiden name/married name search parameter there is one death record in Troon in the year 1900 and the womans name is indexed as Jane Scoular Cowan.  Since Jane/Janet/Jessie etc are interchangeable...is it possible this is your Janet that was married to Thomas?  Sorry but I don't have any other data on them to help with.

I have the name Scoular from Ayrshire. I have Jean Scoular, born 1834 in Galston to Matthew S and Marion Young. They married 1825, and I have a possible birth in Galston for Matthew, to Robert S and Annabella Lachlan in 1804. However, I'm not sure how they'd connect to your family.

I Also have the Loudoun Scoulars in my family.  Robert Scoular, son of Robert Scoular/Annabella Lauchlan was marr to Helen Donald, my ancestor.
