German Name Decipher: Help!
« on: Tuesday 05 February 08 08:14 GMT (UK) »
Hello  ;D

I have no idea what the name in the image is, and seeing as we have some really good decipher's here, I thought I'd get some opinions. Also, take note it's in German. I'm sure I'll be hitting myself soon because the answer may be obvious! ::) Thank you. (Is it Carl, poss.?)

Cheers,

Elfie

P.S. I put it on the wrong board, nooo!! How shall I get it moved?

Hi Elfie,

Now that you mention it.. I remember seeing a Carl Christian. Just a moment, yes that probably be it.. England FreeBDM Carl Christian Shurley b. abt 1843 d. 1885 Sculcoates. They did write C and H strangely!

Thanks :D
