No idea Ricky, it's just that William is missing from the parents home in1901 so assummed he married, and as there is a grandchild at the parents home, and he was the only son that could have been the father again assuming.

Ricky

Looking at other sites as you do, I looked on CWGC,  and there is a Harry Varney Eacott, son of William Arthur and Sarah Jane Eacott, of Slade Green Erith Kent. Harry is remembered at the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Yet another piece of the puzzle.

Thank you

Carol

Hi Carol

That was a good find, but I carnt see William on the 1901 census ??? ???, which is annoying, as he must be around somewhere. Have tried looking in Beds and Bucks for him, but nothing matches up

Hi Carol

I've also looked every way I can think of for William in 1901 but no sign and I can't see a death either. Could he have emigrated?

Hi Jan

I suppose that there is a possibility he emigrated. William is aged 20 and living with the family in Wingrave, Bucks.1891. In 1901 there is a grandaughter Edith aged 8 living with Williams parents William and Sarah at the same address as 1891. I am assuming that Edith belongs to William jnr as the only other son David was aged 16 in 1901.
Anyway thanks for looking, much appreciated.

Carol
