why moved and locked?

New to all this but have posted a query on Alfred Mumford, Bootle.  Now I was receiving responses to this and then suddenly somebody decided to move me and lock, why   

Now to see my post they first go to the old one and then are redirected.  All the posts are still there and unlocked.   

Surely there should be a page somewhere that explains why this happens, I have failed to find it if there is.
