Have now found Mary Given daughter of Solomon Given on SP
she married a John Allison in 1854
had her first child in 1855  :D
the childs birth cert gives Mary's place of birth as Coleraine
so now I have one child born Dunboe
and one born Coleraine
just wondering how close these places are to each other

Coleraine is not far from Dunboe and she could have given Coleraine as her place of birth rather than the smaller Dunboe.

Dunboe to Coleraine is probably just over 5 miles.

Hi Elaine,
I have been on this site since only yesterday doing research on my grand dads WW1 Service and what results.
Started browsing and saw this. My wife is Margaret McCafferty. One of her great grand dads was Edward McCafferty c1864 who married a Fanny Rowe 1873-1912 (born in Devon ).
Edward and Fanny had several children one of whom was Margarets granddad also Edward McCafferty 1897-1964 and and one called Fanny McCafferty 1912-c1980.
Fanny McCafferty married Archibald Given, I am sure some of his forebear are a Solomen and a Soloman Given born in Ireland (Dunboe) :).
You may already have this info.
Margaret has said it is ok to reply

regards
Tommy :)
