Hello

I'm very new to this - just joined - specifically because I came across your requests for info on William Chard. It would seem that his wife Elizabeth Hornet(t) is part of my family tree that I'm researching. If I'm correct she had 3 brothers - John b.1790, Isaac b.1793 and Robert b.1799, all at South Brent to Robert and Martha. It's Isaac I'm a descendant of. My trail runs out at Robert & Martha though, so should you track down any South Brent/Brent Knoll Parish records I'd be most gratefull to know of their where-abouts. BTW, it would seem Robert & Martha's first child b. 4/7/1784 South Brent, was also named Elizabeth - so I can only assume she died. I realise none of this helps in your search for William, but if I come across him in my searches I'll let you know.

If anyone has access to south Brent could they look up a birth for a Faustin Jeffery circa 1789?

Many thanks

I don't know if the OP is still with us but I've just come across the baptism of a William Chard, son of Richard and Betty Chard in Brent Knoll on July 29th 1792 (Ancestry image).

Also numerous children baptised to Joel and Mary Symes in the 1780s and 1790s - in case that information is of any use to dismo and his search for Jeffery/Symes connections.

Robert Hornet's baptism is recorded in Brent Knoll: April 7th 1799.

I've noticed several other Hornets too.

I'll look back for the Symes baptisms dismo and post again.
