Southport death

I am looking for a death in Southport of a Lois Challenner, born 6th June 1885, she isnt on the 1901 census

There is a birth

Ormskirk

and a death
Lois Challenor
age 0
Jun qtr 1889
Ormskirk
8b 498

you say your Lois was not on 1901 census -does that mean you have her on 1891???

the 1901 census was the only one I had to hand. I have now found the 1891 census and she doesn't appear there.

also 1888 not 1885 for her birth, its the writing on the certificate
interesting though the birth certificate has 6th June 1888, surely that would be the 2nd qrt

Quite possible for the reg to be in Sept qtr -  a birth doesn't have to be registered immediately - in present times you have 42 days in which to register a birth.
