Birth in Standon 1832 lookup please.

I am looking for a Alfred Gardner, who from the 1871 census for Llandaff, Glamorgan, was born in Standon Herts. in approx. 1832. I have not been able to make a positive connection for him living in Standon area on the 1841 census. I am hoping that what ever information I can get from a birth or christening will help to locate him in his earlier years before moving to Wales.

I have checked the BVRI without success. Sadly, as HALS does not sell its PR's on microfiche you may struggle with this, unless someone happens to be going to HALS and is happy to check for you.

The only other alternatives would be to visit HALS yourself or get them to search for you, or to hire the Standon films for viewing at your nearest LDS Family History Centre
