The City of Dublin Workingmen's Club records from 1887-1977 are held by the National Archives of Ireland whilst one of the collections of records held by the Representative Church Body Library is that of the City and County of Dublin Conservative Working Men's Club which date from 1883-1974. 

An article, by Timothy G. McMahon, titled "All creeda and all classes. Just who made up the Gaelic League?" which was published in the Eire-Ireland:Journal of Irish Studies, Fall-Winter, 2002  states that members of the Wellington Quay Working Men's Club, the Inchicore Working Men's Club, the Dublin Total Abstinence League and Working Men's Club, and the Father Mathew Loan Fund Society which were exclusively Catholic in composition socialized occasionally with the (Protestant) Conservative Working Men's Club
