Further to the above there is an Ann E. Lancett age 13 b. Bewdley at the home of her Grandmother, also Ann Lancett,  in Kidderminster Road, Wribbenhall, Worcs. Could this be the Anne you are looking for?
Ann Lancett is age 69 and also there is her unmarried son Alfred Lancett age 30. Both these two are b. Wribbenhall.
On freebmd there is Elizabeth Lancett died Ledbury 4Q1890 age 41.

Hello Alastair,
Thankyou for all the information you have found for me.
Ann had an older brother named Thomas Alfred, who must be working elsewhere as he is not
listed with the family in 1891. Possibly he was named after this Alfred who would be his Uncle if
this the Ann I am looking for. It doesnt look as though their father could cope after the death of his wife.
Thanks again,
Hinton.

Hello Hinton,
You don't give a birthdate for Thomas Alfred but there are two Thomas Lancetts in Ledbury in 1891.
There is a Thomas Lancett age 21, General Labourer, in New Bridge Street, Ledbury. With him is wife Annie Lancett, age 21, Charwoman, born Alcester and his grandmother Hannah Wheele (sic), age 77, Widow, on Parish Relief. Both Thomas and Hannah are b. in Ledbury. This could well be him as the Happy Land properties start immediately after his entry.
There is also a Thomas Lancett, age 20, unmarried, also a General Labourer, living in the Homend with his mother Mary Lancett, age 49, Widow, no occupation, and his sister Harriet age 22, unmarried, no occupation. All three are Ledbury born.
If neither of these are the one you want let me know, preferably with a date of birth, and I'll see what I can do.
Regards, Alastair

Hello Alistair,
Thomas of New Bridge St, was sometimes listed as Alfred Thomas was the son of Benjamin &
Elizabeth and brother to the missing Anne. He is the one who will be part of my research by way of
living with Hannah Wheale who was the mother of his Mother the late Elizabeth. For some of the
family their grandparents came to their rescue, but others have either gone into institutions or other family members. Thanks for delving into their backgrounds for me. In 1901 only Ernest bn c 1884 is with his father and they are boarding in Ledbury. Thanks also for that info abt Happy Land a lot of my ancestors lived there, and Homend. Not skilled people. I wonder if it was a Happy Land.
