Marriage Lookup, please. Blisland / St Tudy.
« on: Friday 22 February 08 07:57 GMT (UK) »
In 1841, William Pooley ( b 1813 ), is married to a Mary, living in St Tudy.

In 1851, he is a widower.
Mary Pooley, died Sep Q 1849, possibly in or after childbirth, as a daughter Mary, was born and baptised July 20 1849.
3 other children, have the name Prout Pooley, which may indicate, mother was Mary Prout ?
In 1851, Sarah Prout W., is living with William.
Sarah Prout ( nee Pooley, aunt of William ), had a daughter, Mary, b 1812, Blisland.

Could someone, find the marriage please, the first child, John, was baptised in 1835, St tudy.

Thanks

;D  It's nice to make someone laugh  ;D

I'm still trying to get my head round this Prout Pooley marriage.

This means, Pooleys on both sides now.
( not surprising really, in such a close proximity ) But, the Pooleys on the other side, have a connection according to all the census records, but no recorded connection, in the Parish Records or Registry docs., found so far.

We find one answer and create more don't we............. lol
Off to see, if St Clether, is close to St Tudy, now, for more possibilities.

Thanks, Kris  ( I will be back !! )

Researching both Prout and Pooley.  My mother's aunt Sarah Prout married Richard Pooley in 1899 in Durham County, Ontario, Canada.  Their son Ross Pooley was the last Pooley of that line.
