Irish Ancestors

I have hit a brick wall and need some help!! I am trying to trace Bryan DUNN c.1781 born IRELAND. I have no record of him before 1821 when he married Fanny SMITH in a Methodist Chapel in Derby, Derbyshire, the record states that he was born in IRELAND as do subsequent Census records until his death in 1854. His children were christened, some in a Methodist Chapel and others in the local Parish Church, I surmise from this that he was not a Catholic. His occupation was a Copper Smith/Brazier as was his eldest son and grandson who carried on the family business. It is thought that Bryan travelled to England with a brother but this is not certain...I would welcome any help at all.
