« on: Thursday 28 February 08 23:12 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find death dates & any info on my ggg grand parents, James KING (b. 1801) & his wife Patience  (nee Branfield b. 1807) They were married Clatworthy Somerset. I have found the 9 children the last child b. 1948. I am trying to piece together their where abouts. Did the family migrate to Australia or was it just the son John my gg grandf. Any info is greatly appreciated. cheers Vic from Oz

James must have died before 1851 as patience was a widow at the tme of census -so he must have died sometime etwen the conception of daughter mary and 1851 census

This looks like maria in 1841 with the featherstone family -wonder what the connection is with that family

1841
North St
Wivelscombe
Somerset
John Featherstone 45 Farmer
Sarah 45
William 25
Robert 20
Maria King 10
Elizabeth Gibbs 28 F.S.
all b. in county

HO107 950 5 3
(John King was visiting William Feathersone (son of John Featherstone) in 1851 )

Think I have a marriage for maria

There is an Alfred King of correct age in Reading Berks in 1841 -working as a servant -and he was born out of county -so could be yur Alfred - he definately survived as he is on 1851
