I don't think Alfred was son of Thoms -as Thomas was unmarried

Suz, I appreciate all that you have given me it has been help. let me know how you go with children search in London. I had a look have a William m Matilda son alfred b 1860 &  an Alfred  m Mary son Alfred b.1862 (possible be the one). once again thanks & then I believe I have to close the subject. Looks like John Featherstone's wife, Sarah was nee Sarah King so she may be James's sister.

There's another White family connection.  Looks like William Featherstone is married to Martha White 1843 per freeBMD.
