I don't think Alfred was son of Thoms -as Thomas was unmarried
Working through the children to see if any moved to London

I had a look have a William m Matilda son alfred b 1860 &  an Alfred  m Mary son Alfred b.1862 (possible be the one). once again thanks & then I believe I have to close the subject. Looks like John Featherstone's wife, Sarah was nee Sarah King so she may be James's sister.

There's another White family connection.  Looks like William Featherstone is married to Martha White 1843 per freeBMD.
